GORGON
(The Medusa, Euryale, and Stheno of our time)
This sculpture synthesizes the three gorgons. They have hissing serpents for hair, boar's tusks for teeth, and wings. Their monstrous deformities represent our perverted social, sexual, and spiritual drives. The sculpture is a tangle of torsos shaped into a hairy, wrinkled head formed by male and female genitalia, segments of erotic postures, snakes, and dragon scales. The running figure is our ego running away from Father Time, with Death in hot pursuit.
