6. BUDDING LIFE
A summary of the evolution of life on Earth. A zygote renders the form of a squirming larva which, as one encircles the sculpture, becomes a chrysalis lightly dangling from its contours. A bird then readies for flight, and around its efforts appear a quadruped and a fish at various angles. The bulk of the stone depicts the curious head of a thinker engaged in contemplating the seed which engendered human beings.
