CLONE
A human-animal-plant clone. This figure illustrates feasible bio-industry outcomes caused by unpredictable behavior of foreign DNA and genes in genetically engineered animals (such as distorted and misplaced organs and limbs). It also portrays tomorrow's Frankenstein (distressing his master) and mortal Atlas, carrying on his shoulders the burden of his impertinence (a terrifying legacy for our children and future generations to bear). The head of the sculpture (top-right) evokes the process of cell-egg-DNA manipulation. In this procedure a great number of adult animals and fetuses are horribly abused by the insertion and removal of fetuses in and out of the "mothers" wombs at the whim of scientists working for bio-companies to achieve mass production of highly profitable animal-human clones. It includes the process of gene-modification: insertion of specific groups of human genes to alter organ behavior in animals (top of right). Finally, we come face to face with the Minotaur: "the last degree in the scale of relations between the spiritual and the animal sides in man" (right).
